Wow,
no more exams. Now I just have to ace an honours project to do well. Luckily we all have a week off to reflect on our lack of revision and our ineptness at bowling!

That’s right…it’s Summer again. The best movies, music and games all come out at the same time. I’d like to commend System of a Down, the White Stripes and Coldplay for making new great albums. And of course Lucas for making it alright to be a Star Wars fan again.

I’m one of many Joe Wright’s and I currently dwell in Glasgow, Scotland. I work as a software developer for JPMorgan and previously the Scottish Qualifications Authority. I mainly use Ruby, Java, Bash and any automation tools I can get my hands on.

I used to be heavily into Gentoo Linux but since finishing my Bachelors and Masters in Computing at the University of Aberdeen I haven't found the time. I can usually be found hacking on side projects, writing songs on guitar or enjoying a fine Islay single malt. I'm happy to say this fascination has now manifested as a Single Malt Guide
